loose dashboard

Recommended Posts

recently purchased a 2011 lsv 247. the dashboard keeps popping out. I looked behind it to check for loose bracket or screws and I do not see anything that would secure in place. Is there suppose to be brackets or clips that are missing.

any suggestion would be appreciated

I am guessing you are referring to the gage cluster. If so there is a or should be a screw in the upper center of the cluster that holds the top in. And 2 studs epoxied to the bottom of the cluster basically left and right side of the steering wheel to hold the bottom in. If it is popping out I am guessing the upper screw is missing of the hole it goes in is broken out and the 2 bottom stud plates are broken off of the cluster and flopping around under it. Not uncommon on that MY. I used JB Weld to fix mine. Clean and prep work are the key to make the fix work a long time. Good luck. Bill
