Looking for SSP for 2001 Malibu Response LX

Hi Malibu Crew,

I'm a first time owner of a 2001 Malibu Response LX. I'm an avid barefooter and waterskier. I bought the boat with a wake surf "Wedge" installed. I'm hoping to swap that out for an SSP. Searching online has yielded no options for purchasing an SSP. Does anyone have and SSP they would be open to selling or trading for the wake wedge? Any recommendations for other places to look for an SSP?

Thank you,

Not sure I know what an SSP is?

SSP = Scarpa Suppression Plate.  Ron Scarpa designed it to improve the barefoot wake but some folks say it improves lower speed slalom wakes as well.

@Kcoop007 - congrats on your purchase of a great barefoot / slalom combo boat.  I would keep an eye on this site, ski-it-again, Great Lakes Skipper as primary places to find an SSP.  There is a drawing in a thread on this site for making one, which may be your easiest option and since you are SE Michigan plenty of shops to fab one up for you.  BTW- you are over in Nautique / MC country...  Most footer/skiers tend to run w/o the plate although it does make the table crisper.

Hi Kcoop007,

I'm sorry to say I don't have anything to offer on your SSP. However, I'm interested in purchasing your Wedge. Let me know if you are interested in selling it.

Thanks

Hey Woodski I appreciate the input. Thank you for the advice on where to look! You know your regions huh? Big MB and ski nautique dealer on our lake so it’s definitely heavy on those brands. Nice group of Barefooters though!
