Replace carpet

Response2008

Recommended Posts

I have a 2008 Malibu response.  The carpet needs replaced.  Called Malibu to find out about carpet, they say it’s discontinued.  We live in Kentucky but are willing to travel to find the right shop to replace it.  Any recommendations for a good shop or individual?  Also need some upholstery work too?

There is probably several shops in your area that can do upholstery work.  Try Craigslist.

You can just order some marine/outdoor carpet (or anything you want, really).  You will probably have to install it yourself.  An uphostery shop may do it for you, but the labor would be spendy I think.

We are going to tear out the factory carpet in our 06 23LSV this winter and replace it with Gatorstep.  More expensive than carpet, but should be a huge upgrade.

you have to make a replacement center floor panel to eliminate the two sided carpet gap, see the Gabe’s upholstery youtube vid by the forum member that does the older boat and trailer upgrades vids
