Seat stain mainly on the piping

Recommended Posts

I've read many thread and watched many videos..... all the approved methods have not worked removing this brownish stain from my back seats.  It's mainly on the piping and actually feels different if you rub your finger across the stained area (feels rubbery). We're very careful on sun lotions that don't have dyes in them so I don't know what caused this.  I'm thinking sun is my only hope.  Any thoughts?  Not sure how to post a pic.

So to update.....  As you can see, I didn't get any input on this thread so i did some research elsewhere on line.   It led me to Gestalt Pink Away, a product that's pricey but I will say that it is the ONLY thing that looks like it is working.  It takes a few coats to complete and I am midway into it and it already removed some stains completely and is reducing it on others.  I maintain my boat very well, especially the upholstery.  It's kept under canopy when not in use so it doesn't get put away wet and covered up.  Regardless, as we have been addressing the staining on the rear seats' piping, more pinking is showing up on the seat backs. So, I'm buying more of this product.  Good luck if you ever have this issue.
