Replacement Tower Speaker

One of my speakers broke off from the tower (specifically the plastic tabs that connect to the metal bracket snapped off), looking to replace it now and just wondering if I need to be concerned about compatibility. I'm having trouble finding a single replacement speaker, seems like I have to buy the pair (JL Audio M3-770ETXv3-Sb-S-Gm). I may end up with a different brand if I have to replace them both anyway.

Are the different brands generally interchangeable? Looks like just two wires I need to hook up to the replacement speaker. I would think a different brand (Kicker or JBL maybe) but would hate to buy a pair and it not work.

Speakers typically come in pairs, unless they are basement level OEM grade generally sold in bulk. The amplifier power the existing pair, will not care what new speakers you replace them with. Just connect the + and - to the new speakers.
