Oil pressure gauge

Is there a way to check if the oil pressure gauge is working? I replaced the sender on the engine but I'm still getting 0 pressure on the gauge.

On an analog oil pressure gauge there should be 4 connections, ignition power (purple), ground (black), sender (light blue), and backlighting (dark blue).  To test the gauge, remove the sender connection on the gauge and turn on the key switch and the gauge should read low / zero.  Then, if you attach a ground to the sender connector on the gauge and turn on the key switch the gauge should read high / max.

I would recommend using a mechanical oil pressure gauge to verify the actual engine oil pressure first.
