What kind of trailer do i need?

Just bought a 2008 23LSV without a trailer and am in need of one quickly. i know that i need one for a inboard boat with a prop protector but do different manufacturers trailers work for all boats or does bunk location play a part? You will have to forgive me this is the first wake boarding boat i have owned. Thanks in advance.

The bunks should be spaced to the stringers (at least for long term use).  Typically they are 48" apart, but it varies by model, esp. now with the bigger boats.

I was looking at a 23LSV without trailer a few weeks ago in Spokane.  I called all the major dealers from the bay area to Seattle looking for a trailer for an inboard. they all laughed at me a little bit. 

my understanding is that the boat manufacturers order the trailers in bulk and built to the exact specs of each boat model.  you could set up an EzLoader of BoatMate trailer to haul a vdrive, but it would never support the boat correctly or protect the rudder and prop.  plus it would look funny and I doubt you would ever be able to sell it that way. 

one dealer had ordered trailers from Malibu before. said i was 3-4 months lead time and $8k + for a trailer that matched the boat.

and if there are any used trailers available, they are being bought up this time of year because folks are putting their boats away for the winter.

so the cheap price of the boat with no trailer wasnt such a good deal after all.

hopefully your experience will be different since you already bought the boat.
