VTX or VLX?

Hello. I am shopping for a new Malibu and looking for advice. I have narrowed it down to a VTX 20' or VLX 21' (2017 or 2018). I am no longer a hard core skiier but still like to ski..my kids are into wake boarding. I know the VTX is the better cross over boat, but it only has room for 11 ppl. I like the space in the VLX 21' (capacity of 13). How is the VLX wake compared to the VTX for skiing, wake boarding, wake surfing? Also, I found a few VLX with diamond hulls...is there a noticeable difference between the VLX hulls (diamond -v- wake) when skiing or Wake boarding? thanks for the help!
