First wake boat - what boat?

PLS

Recommended Posts

First post. Long time boater; grew up with a four winns and 24’ pontoon. Now that my kids are older, want to get a wake boat and get them on the water. Based on pricing, looks like I have a choice: new A22 or 5-7 yr old wakesetter. Thoughts? Anything else I should consider?

those older malibu hulls are not todays malibu or axis surf machines,  new a22 all day with pw3 vs the older just pw1, they are great boats but new with 5 yr warranty( assuming you like your dealers service) and all the modern surf tools, thats easy.

Agreed with Grand Daddy, if you can live without the gee whiz screens in the Malibu, I'd look to the new Axis.  As stated, warranty is huge...with all boat manufacturers cranking them out, there are bound to be problems.  You are also bound to have problems with an older boat and the warranty is great piece of mind.  The wake and waves are absolutely amazing and you get the benefit of the Malibu technology on the Axis.  I'd go new Axis over used Malibu....
