Txi Tower support

Weave

Recommended Posts

Just purchased a 2021 20vtx with the xti tower.

we have a bridge we travel under to get to a nice ski lake.

when lowering the tower there is no where to rest the tower so it doesn’t damage the boat.  Has anyone come up with a way to support it while down.

last time my wife held it, and it was too heavy for her to hold.

Where does the tower sit when folded?

It folds back.  Turns out that by putting a square bumper pad on each side (top edge) of the boat, the tower rests on bumper nicely.

Top isn’t very descriptive,  not sure how else to describe it.  top of the hull(?), see arrow in photo.

Gunwale - usually pronounced "gunnel".  Originally the structure was the "gun wale" on a sailing warship, a horizontal reinforcing band added at and above the level of a gun deck to offset the stresses created by firing artillery.
