Been shopping for a boat to cruise with friends and do casual tow sports like wakeboarding and tubing. Would love your opinions on this fixer upper!

$6500. 160-180psi on all 8 cylinders and runs great. Interior is great, but the exterior is rough and the rub rail has been completely removed.  What do you think?  GsxP5UL.jpg 411owwt.jpgbugGG2M.png

I can ask the marina that's selling it if they are aware of it being separated. That wasn't mentioned to me. The marina has owned it themselves since 2012.

It's a 1996 lx with 600 hours.

Keep looking

Mind sharing why you feel that way? From the pictures it seems like I would be able to restore it to at least fair condition for not much money myself, but I've also never owned a boat (only jet skis) so there may be something I'm unaware of.

Well, I don’t mind.

In the close up photo of the damage to the bow, it looks like the boat hit something hard enough to break the two halves of the hull open, and strip off the rub rail.
The separation of the top from the hull and the missing rub tail concerns me. It does not look lake ready and I wonder if it could be put back together.  The rest of the boat is worth what they ask, but I would expect to dump another $8-10k to restore the boat to average condition.  If you could find One in better condition for $9k you would be much better off.  If you are mechanically inclined and ready to tackle this boat as a project, this is the right place to ask how, start a thread and keep the photos coming.
