2005 Monsoon 340 intake plenum rusted on

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any ideas how to get intake plenum off. Motor has 300 hrs on it and it very clean! Took the 6 bolts out and the plenum won’t release I assume it’s rusted on but it’s not budging! I have not tried too much outside of using a block of wood and taping it with a hammer with no luck! I don’t want to damage the plenum or crack it - any ideas?

I thought it’s cast - I did pry on it a little but didn’t have full compliment of tools - I will try that this weekend m- I was just concerned about damaging it!

Bolts were all out - I used a pry bar wrapped in a towel not to scratch anything and it popped free pretty easy - it helps using the right tools - thanks for the help!

You're doing this to do a full cleaning of the plenum? I may make this into a winter project also.
