Rear Ballast sensor 2008 vlx

Recommended Posts

Hello, hoping someone can help me. I have a 2008 vlx, my rear port ballast does not seem to be registering- I have a feeling it’s something with the sensor.  My question is, does anyone know how to access the sensor.  I pulled up both of the small access ports but they are only for the ballast drain pump and the fill lines.  Does anyone have any tricks to access the rear tank? I scoured the forums but can’t seem to find an answer.

thank you!

I have same issue on my front tank and almost raised my lift last night with mine full....reading empty.  Luckily I noticed that we were still sitting low in the water.   I'm thinking they can probably be cleaned up if they are just sticking.

I’m just not sure how to get to the back ones- they don’t look like they’re too easy to Access.  I had a small leak on one of my hose connections- wondering if it may have shorted out the connector at the sensor, but, I’m not sure how to even access it.
