I went to look at a boat for sale

Wow. It always amazes me to see boats that haven’t been cared for...sad. I’m glad you were there for your wife’s cousin.

a couple years back my brother in law asked me to do the same and it wasn’t good. He bought it anyway and immediately regretted it. Everything turned out in the end and he now has a Sunscape and is very pleased with it.

When I sold my 2000VLX, the buyer came from about 6 hours away.  His wife was skeptical as they apparently had road tripped to look at a few other boats and they were no where near the condition the sellers had promised.  They seemed relieved that I had been honest and were happy to hook mine up and take it home that day.

It is one thing to scam folks that are nearby, but to have folks traveling hours and hours for something no where near as advertised just sucks.
