Sunsetter Perfect pass

Recommended Posts

Afternoon Bucrew,

working on a buddies 03 sunsetter with perfect pass. We are not getting any rpm reading on the gauge....?

i have traced all wires to servo and the p/pass brain, all seems good....

there is a purple wire coming from the back of the tachometer, can I hook up a volt meter to see if I am getting signal? What setting would I put it on??

On my 99, the RPM is a grey wire.  In case that helps.  Or not.

Yep, got that figured out, but it switched to a purple wire under the dash before it connects to the gauge.

I am almost positive that is the RPM driver - I'll check in a bit.

Is it one of those split gauges.  If so the analog rpm is known to go out. Happened to me

So I got it to read rpm again(digital anyways) which obviously tells me the analog part is done.....is there any fixing those or do you just replace them?

Replace it.  Contact PP and they will tell you what to buy.  The new units are nicer anyway.
