New Member Ready to Learn

Hello New Boating Family,

I wanted to introduce myself and attach a couple pics of my new boat.  She is a 2017 Axis A24.  Long ago my neighbor let me borrow a 2005 Malibu VLX; which got me on the water for years.  Once that boat was gone the wife and I started a family and now, with two young boys, are getting back into it.  Just wanted to say hello and I look forward to learning all I need to know from everyone.  Thanks in advance!

I’m sure you’ll all understand/appreciate this.  Got the boat home for the weekend (yet to go to the lake due to a fire close to my nearest body of water) and worked out all the details regarding my “buy list”.  That said, in addition to ropes/fenders/and the like, just ordered a FAE and Rear Bimini which was kind of expected.  What was not was the need to do a 100 service. After getting the records I see that it needs to be done.  Being that I’m new to the forum, and reading as much as I have, I’m not willing to risk an impeller issue on the water.  Going to get it services and order an extra impeller for peace of mind.  Already learning, thanks everyone.

Good luck! Pretty new myself. Most I’ve read on here change the impeller yearly. I’ve been told to carry a spare. I’ve been told to change the oil every 60 hours or so. Think the guidance varies a bit. Have fun!
