Perfect Pass step motor Lin Engineering

Recommended Posts

Old Lin Engineering step motor hooked to the Perfect Pass seems shot. When turning key on it sits there and kind of ticks a few times and acts like it wants to do something. The Perfect Pass on the dash lights up and it is all there and looks like its working. 1.8 degree Step Motor 5618L-54-03 is the number on the unit. Cant find much info searching google. Lin Engineering told me to contact Perfect Pass. Haven't been able to reach them on the phone or return an email yet. Any ideas?

The ticking at key up is normal. That's the motor ensuring the cable is tight. Run the servo test procedures on PP support site or in the manual. They're pretty robust. I bet it's fine.
