2014 A22 with lots of splash from surfgate side over to surf wave

Recommended Posts

Hey guys just bought a 2014 a22. It’s my first boat and overall I’m really happy with it. But as I’m trying to dial in the surf wave I realized a significant amount of spray coming from activated surfgate over onto my surf wave. I’m wondering if this is problem other axis owners have successfully dealt with. I’ve read that 2013 mxz’s encountered similar problems and there was a shield you could retrofit on the surfgate to block to spray. Is this an option for my axis? Is there another option?
Thanks!

great lakes skipper has the part to divert spray, i have been too skittish to mount them on my gates, i list to clean up wave from spray , the powers that be will tell you boat is weighted to heavily but they are wrong

Ok thanks. I did come across those shields from Great Lake skipper and was wondering is they work. I don’t want to be the first to try this modification

I agree with you about the weight.  I find it hard to believe I have it weighted too much as I only have 450 fat sacks in the back and 200 sack in the front. Was planning on adding more weight to bow with bit of lead and was hoping that may help somehow.
