Lost access door on swim step (Help to replace)

Recommended Posts

Some how I lost my access door on my swim step this weekend on my 2001 Sunscape. Half the hinge is still there, not sure how it just came off. Anyone know if this is something I can buy or will I have to make one? It's a teak swim step.

Get hold of Tommy Nation at Teakworld.  They were the OEM.  I bet it'll be like 50 bucks max.

Thank you,  just shot them an email. Hopefully it's not too small of a job for them.

Yikes!  That is expensive for a piece 8" wide and 7.25" long. Basically, it is two slats of the teak.   Add a couple 1x2 reinforcemnets underneath.  The hinge and latch should not be that much: replace them.  Find a local woodworker or DIY.  Somewhere on the Interwebs I know I have seen plans.
