2000 Malibu Sunsetter vlx, grinding noise in drive

Hey Crew, first time posting.  I have a 2000 malibu sunsetter vlx that i’ve owned for 3 years.  Has worked great.  This weekend, started up normal and when i put it into gear/drive it gave a much louder grinding noise that sounded like it was coming from the vdrive or trans area.  I thought i read something on this forum with a common problem but couldn’t find it.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  Have video If it helps.

Any details would help.  Did you drop it in the water and then put it in drive?   can you describe the sound or post the link to a youtube video?

Didn't spin the prop dry, did you?

I didn’t spin the prop dry.  I start it in neutral and it sounds normal but in drive their is a much louder grinding noise in general and a slight ticking/clinging noise. Here is a video https://youtu.be/3MZKj-L13sE

Are the coupler bolts tight?
