Lost power to fuel pump

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I have a 2001 outback.
the power to the fuel pump seems to have decided to not go we’re it’s supposed to any longer.

I hopped a line from the battery lead to the Orange wire on the oil pressure sensor and was able to run the fuel pump (replaced last year).

i haven’t had use of my gauges for a few years, assuming the control box is dead. Several posts speak of inline fuses but I have yet to find a single one. The boat still ran without it so I’m not sure this is related. There are no signs of damage or rust. I would like to replace if needed to get the gauges back on line. (recommendations where to purchase will be appreciated).

thanks for the help in advance

Correction. The line from the oil pressure switch seems to be working, it’s just the 5 second prime that’s not functioning. I had it running by jumping the power at the starter to the orange line at the starter. Would the starter have the relay responsible for the priming power?
thanks again
