Floe Lift Problems?

Hi all, I bought a used Floe VSD lift for my Response. I’ve noticed that it makes a ‘squeaking’ noise for awhile as it’s pulling the boat out of the water and while lowering it seems to have inconsistent speed. Have any of you had issues like this? Any ideas?

We have a floe vsd. Have you greased the screw or did the previous owner grease it annually as directed?

How old is the lift?

It’s 3 years old. I actually greased it this past weekend and no change. Not sure if the previous owner greased.

Does it sound like it is coming from the screw or the gear box/motor?

Mine squeaked a small bit last season. We are the first owner, 2.5 years old, and greased annually. First season and this season no squeaks.

It comes from directly below the two batteries. Greased it last weekend and no dice. I called the dealer and they want us to make sure the batteries are fully charged then look to see if the brake seems to be releasing properly. Still worrisome.

Understandable

Not sure if the warranty transfers but if it’s only 3 years old and does transfer to new owners you should hopefully get whatever is the issue fixed if something needs repair.
