Cruise control weird things happening

Recommended Posts

Got on the boat today, set the cruise at 10mph to surf, and the boat just kept accelerating, it was indicating 10 mph but was going much faster.

Messed around with it and it seems as though the boat is indicating a speed half that of what it is actually doing, set the cruise at 5mph and it was the right speed to surf.  It's indicating 5mph, but actually going 10mph

Anyone have an idea where the system reads the actual speed, and what I can do to remedy this?

Under the center rear seat on the right of the vdrive. you should see a black fitting on the bottom of the boat in the shape of an arrow with a black wire going into it.
