Checking float switch in bilge.

Recommended Posts

Any good way to do it proactively aside from filling boat with water?   We had a huge storm last night which resulted in several inches of water in boat.  I hopped on platform to remove cover, and then the bilge kicked on and ran for a long time.  Must have been stuck.

Mine has a small knob connected to the float along its axis which I use to exercise the float.  I always follow up a pump run with a little hand pump though to get that last inch out.

Off topic, but have you ever toyed with a mighty mite. Had a 2b and 3a back in the 70's and 80's.

Never even seen a mitty mite up close.  Cool looking toy.
