High pressure fuel pump screen

Recommended Posts

I have a 1996 response and the fuel pump was whining like crazy. The boat ran fine but the pump was very loud. I searched the site and saw that there was a screen that could be cleaned. When I took the line off the screen was completely clogged and while I was cleaning it it got damaged. Is this screen required? Thanks in advance

Well, it's not required for the engine to run, but keep in mind that without that screen all that stuff would otherwise be headed downstream into your injectors (or carburetor.)
