2015 A20 330 No ECM data

I’m getting a “no ecm data” when the ignition switch is on the ON position. Everything on the dash looks fine for a second until the error comes up.

If I try to start the engine nothing happens all, no crack nada.

Radio, pumps, blower all work fine, which I would think batteries are good??

Boat was fine last weekend, no issues at all.

I had this issue in early spring.  Turned out to be low batteries.  I have an onboard charger that was plugged in over the winter but during that time, something went wrong and it stopped working.  I didn't realize it until we got to the lake and I got this message.  Pulled out the voltmeter and found they were too low to crank.  Got back home, put my big charger on the batteries and after 10 minutes, boat cranked in driveway.  

Have since replaced the onboard charger and no issues.  The dash displays were operational, blower came on but no crank.  After the a few more tries I got the "NO ECM Data" message.

The GDIG tachometer display and the engine auto crank feature require the CAN (controller area network) to work.  If there is a loose or corroded connector on the engine harness plug, or on the boat harness plug, low voltage or voltage drop from a loose connection between the battery and the starter or low battery, or if the ECM fuse on the engine is bad, the CAN will not function.  There are other things that can cause the problem, but that is what I would start with.

Usually a bad ignition relay causing the computer to not get power. Do you hear the fuel pump running? That's another giveaway that the computer isn't powering up on key-on.
