2007 23 LSV bow ballast drain pump - wth is it?

Crew-

The bow drain pump for the hard tank keeps popping the fuse below the throttle after 5-10 seconds.  I pulled the seat cushions last night and the entire carpeted area below the cushions is the hard tank.  I believe the pump may be back in the fiberglass "step" up into the bow and just behind the tank but can someone confirm?  Also, how in the heck do get access to it to replace?  Do I need to take the fill & drain pipes off and remove the tank or possibly remove the subwoofer and get access below the dash?

They sure didn't plan for servicing this pump when they put this boat together...

Thank you.

This should help you, you'll really have to comb through the carpet to find those screws.

(Not my photo, I believe oldjeep removed his front hard tank)

Awesome, confirms pump location which is a major start!  Problem is my step is fiberglass and it looks to be integral to the hull and not bolted/screwed in.  My bow looks a little different in that my drain pipe is exposed/accessible at the front.

definitely follow up with pictures on this if you get it figured out.   i've seen the early models with the front part that looks to be part of the mould vs carpet cutout.  I would sure hope you don't have to pull the tank to change that.

I don't know how else to get to it...there is very little room to go from below the dash.  We are going to use the boat with the front ballast full for the next few weeks as we are headed on vacation.

I know this is an old tread, but it's changed out from under dash on the drivers side.   On a 07 LSV, that little carpeted step is not there, it's all fiberglass. I just did it this past week, and it took only a few minutes.  Just remove the sub or kick panel and its right there.  Its not possible to do it from the passenger side since its to far over on the drivers side.
