M5 Oil Change Questions

Recommended Posts

I’m getting ready to do my first oil change on our M5. It’s a 2020 Axis T23.

My question is about using the oil pan drain hose. Do you guys put the extractor hose down inside the hose our use the connector/threads on the end of the hose to attach the extractor?

If using the connector/threads does anyone know the size off the top of their head?

On our last boat it did not have a drain hose so I just went down the dip stick and never had any issues.

Thanks

I use a small piece of rubber outboard fuel hose that fits tightly on the end of the engine drain hose threads when connecting it to the extractor and it works fine.

Don't forget to secure your engine oil drain hose when done.  If it gets rubbed by a belt or pulley you could have a very serious mess on your hands.
