Trouble getting prop off

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever had luck getting a prop off with a harmonic puller, that is very stuck??  I’ve beat mine for 30 minutes with zero movement.

Not a c clamp puller. I have a harmonic puller. Getting a clamp now...  Just didn’t know If anyone had success with the harmonic since that’s all i have now.

I've taken one prop off with a harmonic.  Needed to beat on it harder than I would have guessed.  Make sure you are smacking the sides of the puller, hit it hard.  If that doesn't work then heat up the prop hub with a propane torch and try again.  If the key is munched it will be impossible to remove the prop with a harmonic puller.

I use the clamp and mine just came out when I tightened the clamp. No hitting required. This instructor is easy on the eyes...
