How to remove/reapply traction/tread mat on trailer

Hi All,

Going to touch up rust on trailer/repaint some areas.

I would like to remove these traction / footing mats that are on it. they seem to be in good shape, no need to replace

QUESTION: is there a way to remove these without destroying? and what type of glue would i use to reapply?

Or any suggestions on just buying new material- I'm open to that too.

thx!

dan

If you don't mind it not being rubbery and it's clean underneath there, a cheap option that works great is skateboard traction.  I bought a single strip of it to do both my fenders since those suckers get slippery.  Easy to cut to fit and very durable.

Do you have a source for the "skateboard traction". I'd like to re-do the steps in front of and behind the fenders...

Search for skateboard grip tape on Amazon. There are a ton of options. Don't remember which one I went with.
