Impeller question

Recommended Posts

We have had plenty of problems with our new boat.  We have about 60 hours so it is getting a service done.  I am thinking of doing the impeller as we have a vacation with the boat coming up and I want to avoid any possible issues on that trip.  If I replace it now, can I keep it as a back up?  Or is it spent once it is removed or used? Boat is a 2019 LSV with 450 monsoon engine.

I always toss the old one and have a spare new one in the glovebox.

I kind of do the same.  I have a new replacement in my tool pack, but save the old one if I ever stumble upon someone who has toasted theirs.  I know it works and will gladly give it away.

This!  Having ben on a boat in the middle of the lake overheating a new $35 impeller is chem insurance.
