The original chrome pylon ball on my 08 VTX tower is all cracked and degraded, so I am thinking of getting it re-chromed. I have removed the assembly and are about to attempt to remove the bearings, from what I have read I will need some luck to do this but are willing to have a go.

I recall seeing a cut away image of the pylon/bearings/fasteners setup awhile back but just cant seem to find any trace of it now. Does anyone know a link to the image?

Its going to be interesting pulling a bearing that is seated at the bottom of a bore with only the rollers exposed!
