Has anyone ever made billet dock light housing for the Axis Docking lights? The ones that come are on there cheap chrome and flimsy.

Just do you know.. the ones on the 23LSV are just as cheap and flimsy.  Billet housing would be nice.

That looks stainless, not chrome.  It's a stamped cover, so the board under it may fill the space completely.  What does it look like under the cover? 

What would "billet" do for you that stainless doesn't (I mean besides corrode in a few years)?
