Surf Gate Stuck Open! Help!

Hey guys, looking for some help here. I am currently on the boat, and got on error message on the screen and the surf gate is stuck open. I tried to reset the battery and turn it back on and I get the same error message. “Surf gate sensor fault”. What can I do to reset this?

I just unbolted the surf gate ram and took it off. I replaced the ram with a new one and it worked fine. 
 

I never got it to go back in no matter what I did with the maliview software.

I got mine to go in after calibrating it and testing it in the surf gate menu. Just when i was about to limp all the way back to the marina, I decided to reset the battery switch one more time and it went in. Just happened to do this when we were far away from our home marina.
