2001 VLX runs for ten seconds then cuts off

I am just getting my 01 VLX ready for the season. It was running fine last year when it was winterized. No when i go to start it it will run fine for ten seconds then stall out. I put a fresh fuel filter in it and a new pump and it still runs 9-10 seconds and dies. It fires right back up but stalls out like clockwork after 9-10 seconds. Has anyone else experienced this or have a good idea of where to start troubleshooting?

Same fuel as last year?  Was Sta-bil added?  Just wondering if it's an old fuel issue.

IT's the same fuel with sta-bil added. The fuel doesn't smell bad.

When I tried starting my boat with the fuel supply turned off, it'd do that.  The fuel pump would charge the rail, the engine would start, then it'd die.  Repeat.  Somehow you're likely starving it for fuel.  Either the pump has gone bad or there's a blockage in the line.

Is this an oil pressure switch issue? Fuel pump runs a few secs at key on to charge the rail. Oil pressure switch should close at engine run (oil pres) to tell ecm to power the pump.
