85 skier fuel pump

I pulled the pump to change the gasket and I have no clue how the pump goes back in I don’t see a cam lobe that I need to push up...

A mechanical pump on the side of the engine?  Either tip it as it goes in or bump the engine around so the cam isn't on a high spot, or both.
