Thanks. I’ve been asked a few times now what I’ll do for the second sub. And with the 25 having so much room I think I’m going to put one of these ported boxes under the flip up seats. I just can’t stop with the group buy going right now! Lol.

Just a suggestion/thought but I wouldn’t personally drop the second sub right where those seats flip up.  At least for us, we flip those up often to grab bumpers or our anchor.   You may do it different but you may just make sure you give your storage plan some thought ahead of time too.

Looking forward to the build!

@hethj7, good point. In the end it can fit anywhere under there. But right now that’s where we put the anchor. And other rarely used stuff. The long flip up seat behind it is where we put the stuff you mentioned.

My first thought was to put it there because it would have an easy time venting because at least one seat is often up. And I wanted the driver more to the rear to try and balance subsonic out in the cabin. Plan B is move it forward under the observers seat.

I really like this idea, especially knowing that one of the seats is usually up. That open cavity and direct radiation is more synergistic with the similar type of coupling of the drivers side subwoofer and eliminates any issue of the second subwoofer latency. Hard to draw that up any better.

So are you doing one ported and one sealed?

I can’t wait to see what you come up with for the  one under the helm!  Guessing you don’t have a heater to work around...

Not this time. :)

Not many updates today. Ran a lot of new speaker wire in the boat. But here’s the back of the amp board at the moment. This mother is heavy!

Got to add the black box in next and the relay for the remote power and terminal blocks

Oh, and I finished the design of the helm sub. If you’re willing to cut a big enough hole you can fit a lot in there. And since the dealership for weird reasons cut that big a hole before I bought it I’m going to use it. I’ll get an aluminum plate water jet’d  and powder coated as well. Some Gatorstep later.

Great work so far!

Very curious about why they cut such a big hole though..

I don’t know. Scream Marine uses Treo sub drivers made for them. So I can’t look up the specs. I think they need a fair bit of volume for a sealed box. The box that went in looked pretty much like that hole I’m told.

@Slurpee, when you get the chance will you post the dimensions of that box?

LOL.  Sure.  It's still a WIP and needs a mock up test fit, but it's roughly 17" tall, 18.5" wide, 15" deep.  The port is 1 3/8" wide and 15.5" tall and 38" long.  Tune at about ~34Hz
