Ignition resistor wire location?

Good Day Malibu Sports Fans! I posted earlier, and am still looking for info on exactly where in the wiring harness is the resistor wire located in a 1987 Malibu Sunsetter. I gotta find er’.

Starting a new thread to ask essentially the same question is not going to get more answers.  The same handful of people who care about this stuff enough to answer just get frustrated and won't bother to reply.  If you didn't get the answer you seek, it's probably because you didn't provide much information in your original post.

My 1987 Sunsetter does not have the resistor wire. If you have a Mercruiser engine I can post a picture of the wiring diagram from my owners manual. But be patient. I am going to visit my elderly mother in a few minutes.

Hey, we hope you don’t leave, but @justgary is right. Creating duplicate threads don’t typically help resolve your issue faster and it does create more work for us. I really doubt he was trying to be a prick because that’s just not the nature of his postings. Hope you stick around. There are some really smart people on here (Gary being one of them) that I’m sure can help fix your problem.
