bare footing with A22

Wake1

Recommended Posts

Hello,i have a 2019 A22 that maximum stop speed is 36.5  to 37 mph with 2 people onboard. I have a 2249 acme prop.Does anyone have experience trying to get this boat to go 40 mph?In my research I've found a 15 by 15 or 15 by 15.75 prop may increase the speed 3 or 4 mph.Any suggestions appreciated.

What is your altitude? If you aren't too high and you aren't consistently running huge crews/extra lead/extra ballast (more than plug n play), you could get away with the 2279 or 2277 and still have good performance for what these boats are built to do. 2277 will be slightly faster than the 2279, I believe, due to the extra cup. We have the 2279 on our '19 A22 but I don't remember the top speed. It's very close to 40, if I remember right. Our stock prop was the 2249 and I like the 2279 better.
