Power Wedge Problem

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a 2010 VLX and I started having power wedge problems today. The wedge moves when I press the up and down button but the position does not change from stowed on my maliview. I tried to recalibrate the wedge multiple times with no success it keeps saying wedge not in proper position or something like that. When I bought the boat they said the wedge was just repaired with new actuators and everything, I was told it was a 2-3k repair. Any idea why my malibu isn’t connecting to the power wedge?

When they installed the new wedge system they may not have calibrated the wedge. To do this you will go to settings in the maliview and hit calibrate wedge. You will then cycle wedge all the way down, then back to stowed position. Make sure that the boat is moving over 2mph or the wedge will not return to stowed position. If this does not work you may have a bad wedge sensor, we carry them here https://www.malibuparts.com/products/power-wedge-sensor

I have a 2011 23lsv.  This year model does not have the "calibrate wedge" option on the maliveiw and there is no sensor on the actuators.  The manual says I'm supposed to cycle the wedge up and down twice every time I turn the battery switch off.   With that said mine still doesn't calibrate and I'm trying to find the solution.  I don't think its my actuators because they go up and down fine.  My issue is that the actuators move so fast that when my wedge is in full stow, I set my screen to a max wave (45 degrees), the screen will "show" the wedge is at 45 degrees but the actual wedge is all the way down at 90 degrees.  It's like they're working in a hyperdrive mode.  I may be wrong but I thought 2010 was the first year they didn't put sensors on anymore so you may double check that on yours.
