1997 Sunsetter VLX maintenance help

Recommended Posts

Boat was working perfectly until we tried start the boat back up after listening to music for 5 minutes on the lake. Boat has two batteries and after switching over the battery from 1,2, and all position the boat still wouldn’t start up. Tried an additional working battery, made sure boat was in neutral, and kill switch was connected and still no luck. All the accessories also will not turn on including the music (besides the fuel gage). The only sound of life we get is sometimes a beep sound when turning the key one click over to the on position. Don’t know if it’s an electrical problem or a fuse or loose ignition breaker. Any help would be much appreciated!

How did you try the third battery?  Remove the originals and install the third battery using the correct lugs.

Jumping two dead batteries with a barely good one may just pull that one down.
