Heater orientation

Recommended Posts

Does it matter if the heater is mounted so that the water in and out ends of the core are pointed down (versus towards the back or front of the boat OR up)?
the water inlets Pointed down means my fan is on the bottom blowing up (hot air rises, so I thought that would be best).

just concerned about water flow.

Consider two things.  1, sediment buildup, 2, winterizing.  I prefer a mounting orientation where the water naturally wants to flow out of the core if the hoses are removed for those reasons.  Try to eliminate low spots in the parts that can freeze and crack, or are a pain to replace.  :)
