Stereo Tuner Upgrade on 2009 Malibu LSV

Hey there everyone,

I am considering taking out my old stock Malibu stereo tuner and replacing it with a newer, bluetooth capable tuner, to be able to connect to my phone while on the water. 

However, I am concerned that this change will require me to change something else in my marine audio compartment.

If I upgrade the tuner, do I need to upgrade anything else? (amps, black box, wires?) I have two RF amps and a JBL audio black box. My old tuner is also 5.5 inches by 2.75 inches.

Also, if anyone has any recommendations about which bluetooth tuner I should upgrade to, I'd appreciate the help very much!

Some ideas here:  

  I can't picture your current stereo?  Is it one of those  off-size ones rather than single DIN?  Where does it currently sit?

My current stereo looks exactly like this.

it sits right below the ballast control dash.

Fusion and Infinity make similar units.  Depending on the space available, one of them may fit with a similar footprint.  WHY do mfgs. not use standard sizes?

These are one in the same. The interface on the helm is just a wired remote.
