Perfect Pass Repair Advice

I have a 2003 VLX with a perfect pass system. The Perfect Pass Display seems to be working fine, as it will display the speed and allow me to set speed up or down, however it does not engage the desired speed and perform. I took into the  dealer and they said I had to replace the whole system for $2200. Has anyone had a similar problem and able to repair it or can I get parts. please advise

Could be many things I would call them I am sure they should be able to provide you with some troubleshooting steps to figure out where the problem is.

Actually if you go to their website under support they have User manuals, Troubleshooting Documents and Troubleshooting videos. That will probably get you the answers you need.

Run the servo tests with the engine off as the first step.  You might need a new stepper motor.

when I got mine the red wire was not tight in the connector - i adjusted it in the connector and it started working  - see the pic

 You could replace the whole system yourself for about half that

Thanks for the tips. I called perfect pass and replace the system myself for just under $1000.00 including new gage and computer
