Easy Drain / Engine Block

Recommended Posts

Any feed back on the EZ Drains https://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=MCM002 for the Engine Block?  I put my boat on the lift in early April in MI.  Before I leave each weekend I put my heater on and drain the block just to be safe especially with the temps dropping into the mid 20's.  The plugs seem like they get worn from doing this often so I thought about trying out the EZ Drains.  Any input would be appreciated.  Thanks!

LCR engine?  No knock sensor?

I don't have any firsthand knowledge of the EZ Drains, but I don't see why they wouldn't work.

On the other hand, while I have never had a need to drain my block week to week, I have always used PTEF thread seal tape, and I haven't buggered up a drain plug since I bought a designated 6-point socket for my ratcheting wrench.

Easy in, easy out (though, to be fair, I never leave them out, putting them right back in once the block is drained;  once those threads start to oxidize, putting the drain plugs back in can become more difficult).  YMMV.
