Is the price difference worth it?

After riding the higher end boards you won't want to go back. 

I've got a  soulcraft, and my wife has a custom victoria skim that we both love. 

We have a few other boards as " boat" boards (shred stixx, lake wakes, shortbus, inland, and two salt water boards) that work great. But the higher end boards are much lighter and so worth it.

But like anything high performance and light they are more susceptible to damage if abused.

I think so.  I went from a Ronix to my Soulcraft and won't go back. It's different comparing custom boards to off the rack boards.  The difference between customs are much smaller/nuanced.  Welcome to the deep end.  One last breath and down the rabbit hole you go.....
