Boat Registration Letters

Recommended Posts

Hey Crew,

Just ordered my factory matching letters from Dome Numbers.

Question is, how/what are you guys using to take off the old registration numbers easily without having any issues with the residue or damage to gel coat?

Appreciate all the help from everyone as always. Hope everyone is staying safe and can't wait to get the boat out!

Ryan

Heat gun or hair dryer works wonders.  Warm the letters up and then it should peel off easily.....or just let it sit in the hot sun for a few hours and it does the same thing as the heat gun.

If that was the cae, my letters would be at the bottom of the lake.  IME you heat and/or chemistry.

The sun/heat doesn't cause them to fall off, but makes it very easy to peel them off.
