2016 Intermittent Power Wedge response

Recommended Posts

I have a 2016 23 LSV with about 260 hours.  The Power Wedge has become very sporadic as to whether it works at all.  When it does work, it will deploy and function fine.  Other times it will become "stuck" in a position and cannot be adjusted at all.  The Sport dash won't move it, the surf band won't move it.  The touchscreen will register where you want to move the wedge to, but the wedge will not go to that position.  If you go into the Debug menu to cycle the wedge calibration, it reads the voltage out fine, but even the +/- buttons do not work at all.  The strangest part though, is that eventually it will start to work.  Last time I took the boat out same issue, but after being on the lift, the debug menu eventually started to work and everything was fine.  The touchscreen shows where the wedge is accurately, but the wedge won't move to where you want it to go... until it does decide to move with no rhyme or reason.  Seems like an electrical glitch, is there a loose wire or harness that I should check for?

Thanks for any advice.

I believe the 16 boats had some grounding issues that caused a number of glitches. There were a few recalls. Check into that. I think my 25 LSV had two recalls and I had 2 similar glitches and lost a starter. My warranty took care of everything.
