2017 VLX Exhaust manifold water temperature, stage 1

Recommended Posts

So I just launched my boat for the first time this year.  I took it for a drive that evening.  I just went for another cruise and the alarm EMWT1 alarm went off, I noticed the temp was at 166 it went to 190 before I got it back to the lift?  I opened the engine bay al little smoke came out.  Any idea what this could be or how I can fix before taking it out and back to dealer.  Any advice of help would be awesome.

The exhaust manifolds are cooled with freshwater.

First thing, did you open the seacock for the water intake? and in addition prepare to replace the raw water pump impeller.

190 is still below boiling for your engine and guessing that you have a a heat exchanger, so the engine wasn't actually dry.
