How to replace the tower tow point white plastic swivel?

I'm hoping this is a dumb question but my boat is an hour away and I'd like to make sure I have any required tools when I get there. As the title states my white plastic tow point bushing cracked.  I received the new one in the mail today but I'm curious what's involved with the replacement?  Does the top cap pop off to get access to a bolt?  This is on a 2012 with the G3 or 3.5 tower (can't remember).

Mine was either a 5/16" or 3/8" hex bolt IIRC.

My '10 did not have a top cap, although there is no guarantee there wasn't one on it before I bought it new as a demo boat from the dealer.

Thanks... hoping that black cap (at least I seem to remember a cap) just pops off.  Maybe I'm brain farting and thinking of my last boat. Either way I'll make sure to toss my hex wrenches in the truck.

The black top cap was a light cover on my 10. I did have to replace one of those push and twist to locks.

Just found a pick I was able to zoom in on... I think I was confusing that the anchor light was on top of the tow point but that's not the case.  I think I'll be good w/ just the hex wrench.  I like easy fixes.

Was definitely a hex wrench on my 12 VLX. I made a Bronze one for mine and one for buddies as the CompTec release is hard on the plastic.

Just a follow-up. Super easy replacement.  My 2012 it’s a 3/8” Hex wrench.

Where can one order the white plastic swivel part the rope for water sports connects? Mine broke, and I’m looking to order a new one. if anyone has a link they can please share would be very much appreciated.
